Systems Support Engineer Needed

Sonnet Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Systems Support Engineer to join our staff optimizing installations, validating new product features and functionality, providing channel training, preparing and conducting demonstrations, and troubleshooting operational and Level II technical issues with a primary focus on Sonnet’s Pro Storage product.

The right Candidate must have:

1.		Working knowledge of video and audio production work
2.		Familiarity with postproduction workflow
3.		Hands-on experience configuring and managing hardware and software
4.		Experience setting up and operating media production networks, SAN and NAS
5.		Experience with Raid Systems and Switch Configurations
6.		Motivation and drive to be productive with limited supervision
7.		Excellent communication (written and verbal) with clients and co-workers
8.		Proficiency in multiple computer platforms (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux is a plus)
9.		Proficient with Ethernet protocols
10.		Knowledgeable with Fibre channel networking and zoning
11.		Familiar with back-up and archive systems and platforms

Our ideal candidate has experience with:

Tiger Software MetaSan and Xsan software; Apple Final Cut Pro, OS X Server, XSan and Apple Final Cut Server Administration; CODECs and transcoding software; POSIX and ACL permissions; LTO tape formats; Autodesk Smoke; Open Directory & Active Directory, Avid Media Composer and Pro Tools.
