Instant SATAsfaction!
No cables, no worries! Sonnet's Tempo™ Bridge board makes it a snap to use a parallel ATA drive in your G5, the first Apple® computer to feature the new standard in disk drive technology, Serial ATA (SATA). Serial ATA offers greater performance than parallel ATA and uses smaller cables and connectors (instead of ribbon cables) for better cooling, but is not directly compatible with parallel ATA. If you need to use a parallel drive in your SATA-based computer, install a Tempo Bridge and make it compatible!
The Tempo Bridge was engineered specifically for the Power Mac G5, but works in almost any computer with a Serial ATA interface. The board's design solves issues unique to the G5: it enables the user to mount a 3.5-inch parallel ATA drive in the G5's drive mounting bay and secure it with the computer's built-in latch, and directly connect the G5's short SATA data and power cables. Take the Tempo Bridge path to add a spare drive to your G5!
