Description: Installation of this driver and firmware provides support for the Sonnet Allegro USB 3.0 PCIe card (Part No. USB3M-E; discontinued) in compatible Windows desktop computers, and the Sonnet USB 3.0 ExpressCard/34 (Part No. USB3-2PM-E34; discontinued June 2014) in Windows notebook computers with an available ExpressCard slot. This driver is required for Windows 7, Vista, XP, Server 2008 and R2 (32 and 64-bit). The driver is included in Windows 8; no need to download and install a driver.

1. Make sure the Sonnet adapter card is installed in your computer.
2. Disconnect any USB 3.0 device from the adapter card.
3. Locate the driver for the NEC/Renesas USB3 Controller (uPD720200)
4. Download and run the driver installer.

Release Notes:
This beta software version provides improved, more robust hot-plug support and various internal driver improvements. It adds UAS (USB attached SCSI) device support, as well as Large Transfer support. This version also fixes an issue that caused a wake from hibernate failure.

Notes:
• Sonnet's original USB 3.0 cards, Allegro USB 3.0 PCIe (part number USB3-E) and USB 3.0 ExpressCard/34 (part number USB3-2P-E34), are NOT supported.
• USB 3.0 card firmware updates must be done from a Windows computer.
