File Name: qio_pc_ug.pdf Document Version: QIO-PC-E-B-110514 File Size: 1.3 MB Description: Windows user's guide for the Sonnet Qio Professional Universal Media Reader/Writer Plus Four eSATA Ports. This manual applies to QIO-E34 (Qio with the PCIe Bus Extender ExpressCard/34 adapter) and QIO-PCIE (Qio with the Bus Extender PCIe adapter card).
There is a very limited resource in PCI I/O space in PCs. There is not enough I/O space for the Compact Flash drivers to start. Often this can be fixed by moving the Qio PCIe expander to a different slot.
The BIOS option ROM space is a limited resource and your machine has run out of BIOS option ROM space. The Qio BIOS takes some of this space to do the PCI bus re-arrangement and to enable hot plug. You must free space by disabling one or more unused option ROMs in BIOS. For example, you may disable a large option ROM, like the LSI RAID controller (exists on many motherboards but is rarely used.)
