Description: XQD driver for Windows 10 supports Sonnet SF3 Series CFexpress/XQD Reader; and also the Sony adapter when used with Sonnet SF3 Series SxS PRO X Card Reader, SF3 Series SxS Pro Card Reader, SxS PRO X Thunderbolt 3 Single Slot Reader, Echo ExpressCard Thunderbolt Adapter, Qio, and Qio E3.
For Windows 21H1 (and newer) there is an extra step required for the Sony XQD driver. Go to Control Panel->Device Manager and find the XQD device. It should be listed as a "Memory Storage Device". It has no driver yet, so it is in a special category in the list. (If you are having trouble finding it, just remove the XQD card, and you will see it disappear. Then re-insert the XQD card, select it, and click "update driver". Select "Browse my computer for drivers" and then navigate to "Memory Technology Devices". The XQD driver should be there. Select the XQD driver and it should automatically load and connect to the XQD card. After that, XQD cards should mount. | | |

Background
With the release of OS X 10.8.2, Apple disabled USB 2.0 drivers over Thunderbolt. Because many SD-to-SxS adapters use the ExpressCard USB interface, and Qio and Qio E3 support USB-based adapters through the ExpressCard (SxS) slots' USB interfaces, the adapters are not recognized under 10.8.2+. Sonnet's USB 2.0 Over Thunderbolt Patch for Qio/Qio E3 removes the limitation and allows your adapter to be recognized.
