Connect your Thunderbolt devices, monitor(s), USB peripherals, and Ethernet cable to the dock and then link them all to your computer with a single Thunderbolt cable. Got a laptop computer? Echo 13 Thunderbolt 5 SSD Dock will even power it with 140W of charging power. When it is time to leave, just unplug the Thunderbolt cable, grab your computer, and go.
Echo 13 Thunderbolt 5 SSD Dock features a built-in M.2 NVMe SSD slot that lets you add 8TB of internal high-speed storage (SSD sold separately). Installing an SSD is simple — remove the top cover and included heatsink, insert the SSD, then reinstall the heatsink and cover. Access data at speeds of up to 6600 MB/s — ideal for professional content creation, application storage, large media libraries, and Time Machine backups. The dock’s 80 Gbps Thunderbolt 5 interface — combined with an efficient thermal design and an ultra-quiet fan that prevents thermal throttling — sustains maximum SSD performance during demanding read and write workloads.
Choose the storage capacity that best fits your workflow: Available with a Thunderbolt 5 Certified 1TB, 2TB, or 4TB Kingston SSD, these Echo 13 dock models deliver up to 6000 MB/s peak data transfer speeds when connected to a Thunderbolt 5 computer, providing great performance for content creation, application storage, and large media libraries.
Works Practically with Any M.2 NVMe SSD
With few exceptions, the currently-shipping Echo 13 Thunderbolt 5 SSD Dock (with a serial number starting with “B”) is compatible with all standard M.2 NVMe SSDs — including both single- and double-sided designs — without heatsinks. If you purchased an Echo 13 dock equipped with a Kingston SSD and with a serial number starting with “A”, see Tech Specs for additional SSD compatibility information.

Featuring 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, Echo 13 Thunderbolt 5 SSD Dock supports a 2.5 Gbps link speed over common Cat 5e (or better) cabling when used with a compatible Ethernet switch or NAS with 2.5Gb Ethernet support, saving you the cost of another adapter. You can get great performance gains — 250 percent the speed of Gigabit Ethernet — without rewiring! In case you’re connecting to a switch or NAS without 2.5Gb Ethernet support, the Sonnet dock also supports a 1 Gbps link speed.
Echo 13 Thunderbolt 5 SSD Dock features three 10 Gbps USB-A ports — one on the front, two on the back — to support super-fast 10 Gbps USB NVMe SSDs at full speed. And unlike some other docks, the Echo 13 doesn’t skimp on power either — each port provides 7.5W, ensuring bus-powered devices will operate without fail.
Echo 13 Thunderbolt 5 SSD Dock is certified for use with Apple M series Macs; Thunderbolt 3 Intel Macs; Thunderbolt 5 and most Thunderbolt 4 Windows computers; Thunderbolt 5 and 4 Chromebook computers; and M series iPad Pro. See Tech Specs for current computer and OS compatibility information.
